Master Provisions joins with Isaiah House Ministries to sponsor mobile food pantries in under-served neighborhoods in Covington and Ludlow, Kentucky. These two sites serve over 600 families on the last Saturday of each month. Volunteers provide a hot meal, wholesome groceries, encouragement and, if needed, transportation back to participants’ homes. MP collects data about hunger in our community and evaluates new mobile pantry sites.

Master Provisions Hosts Christmas Sweater Sale
Florence, KY–Need a Christmas sweater (ugly or otherwise) for a holiday get-together?
Master Provisions is the place to shop.
On Saturday, December 2, Master Provisions will sell holiday-themed sweaters, sweatshirts and other accessories at its facility, the Borland Family Distribution Center, 7725 Foundation Drive in Florence, Ky. Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The sale will continue on Sunday, December 3 from 1 to 5 PM and Monday, December 4 through Friday December 8 from 9 AM to 3 PM, until sweaters are sold out.
“Throughout the year, Master Provisions retrieves holiday items from the thousands of pounds of clothing donated to us,” said Roger Babik, the organization’s President. “Then, each December, we host a Christmas Sweater Sale. Shoppers have fun and proceeds from the sale fund our mission, connecting resources to needs.”
The event began four years ago as Christmas sweater parties gained in popularity and as workplaces sponsored days for their employees to wear holiday attire. Each year, the event has grown with the help of Master Provisions’ volunteers.
In the past year, Master Provisions received and distributed over 330,000 pounds of clothing. Holiday-themed sweaters are not helpful to many of the agencies who receive the clothing, sometimes because the agency is in a warm climate or have a different culture. The sale is a way to use the sweaters and other holiday items to support Master Provisions’ mission to help people in need.
Minimum donations for the sweaters are $10. For more information about the sale and the work of Master Provisions, visit their website www.masterprovisions.org.
