- * Thank You, to The Lord, for literally hundred of volunteers from churches, Boy Scouts, home school co-ops and public schools that joined forces to help pack 100,000 lbs. Of clothing and shoes during a three week period in February and March. Our warehouse is hopping and volunteers are the key to clothes-packing success!
- * Lord willing, we will ship about 35 containers to 9 different countries this year.
- * Thanks to Kristina Wheatley, who assumed web management duties in February. MP now operates in cyber-world in the Twitter and Face Book arenas. Visit us there if you'd like.
PETITIONS:
- * Please pray for God's leading in plan development to partner with Niger Christian Mission to establish a sustainable community that can support a church/pastor, produce agricultural items for food and jobs and offer education and medical care. Plans are in place to lead two medical/evangelism trips per year to Niger.
- * Lucia Parker and Mothers of Pre-Schoolers ask prayers for the success of the annual Scrabooking event [known as CROP to the ladies]; You can join these ladies at First Church of Christ in Burlington, KY from 9:00 a to 9:00p on March 20. Please contact Lucia if you are interested in attending. Proceeds from this event support MP and MOPS.
* UKRAINE, where MP began and flourished the first 7 years is now a country in turmoil. New leadership seems intent on reducing Christian freedom. 3 of our partnerships closed 12-15 months ago; the remaining 4 face daily struggles to survive. Please pray continually for our ministry partners in Chornobayivka, Kherson, Krivoy Rog and Simferopol.
- * MP continues to seek ways to expand partnerships and create jobs that generate funds for church work, meeting human needs and sharing Jesus' love. Please pray for these potential opportunities in Africa:
- o Agricultural project in Niger to provide food and jobs, while creating income for Niger Christian Mission.
- o Car care center in Ghana to create jobs and fund church, clinic and Christian School construction.
- * MP's operating costs daily reflect the world-wide financial pinch, with the challenges of increased transportation costs. Prayers are needed for God's provision of donors who will help alleviate the resource deficit in 2010. Thanks to everyone who participated in the EVADE 48 Campaign, MP was able to break even last year.
- * A team of Medical and Non-medical personnel is being assembled to work in Niger this summer from June 28-July 10. Trip cost is $2500. Registration deadline, May 1. Info is available on the MP web site or by contacting Roger. Please pray for the team God is calling and for another successful venture into this very needy country.
- * It's not too early to begin praying for the 9th Annual MASTER Pro Golf Classic. It is scheduled for TUESDAY, [yes, Tuesday] August 3 at Perry Park Country Club near Carrollton, KY. It's always an enjoyable day and God 's weather provisions are sometimes incredible!
